Make and Race 2

Make and Race is an original Complete Control concept and production – for the sequel we applied full creative across all production elements of the game to create a unified design style – from consistent character treatments, environment design, colour palettes, UX&UI design, style guide creation, character animation and development.

The game was developed during Covid-19 lockdown conditions which prevented any usual in-studio kid testing sessions, so we sent out to parents and kids in their homes to play and complete an online questionnaire to help gather early insights from the target audience.

The app is built in Unity and has launched across iOS and Android platforms and localised across 20x languages worldwide. Make and Race 1 is Boomerang’s most successful App with over 70 million downloads (as of 22.09.2020) worldwide since launch, and we hope to exceed these staggering download figures for Make and Race 2.
